Who we are
Surrco Labs ("we", "us") is an independent game studio run by a single developer based in Israel. This policy covers our games, starting with Gravity Launcher (Android and web demo), and this website, surrcolabs.com. Questions or requests: hello@surrcolabs.com.
Gravity Launcher (Android)
What's stored on your device
To remember your progress and preferences, the game saves the following locally on your phone:
- Settings: sound and music volumes, graphics and battery-saving options, control and camera preferences.
- Progress: medals, best times, and a record of your best flight in each level (including the flight path drawn on the map).
- Small flags such as whether you've already seen a level's intro.
This data is never sent to us or to anyone else by the game. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the game. If you have Android's backup feature turned on, Android may include this data in your device backup. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account settings.
Flight posters
The game can turn a flight into a poster image. This happens entirely on your device. If you tapShare, the image is saved to your phone's Pictures folder and Android's share sheet opens. The image goes only to the app you choose, and that app's own privacy policy then applies. We don't receive it.
Purchases
Gravity Launcher is free to download, with a one-time purchase to unlock the full game. Payments are processed by Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details. Google tells the game whether the unlock was purchased, and Google provides us with limited transaction records (such as an order number, the item, the price and the country) that we use for accounting, tax and refunds. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play and the Unity engine
Google Play may collect information when you install or use apps, such as crash and performance reports if you've allowed your device to share usage and diagnostics data. We only see these as aggregated statistics in the Google Play Console. Gravity Launcher is built with the Unity engine. The engine may send Unity Technologies basic technical information about your device (for example device model, operating system and graphics hardware) to help them support their engine. It doesn't include anything you do or type in the game. See Unity's privacy policy for players.
What the game does not do
No account or sign-in. No advertising or ad identifiers. No third-party analytics or tracking. No access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files beyond saving the poster image you ask it to share.
Gravity Launcher web demo
The browser demo stores your progress and settings in your browser's local storage on your device. It isn't sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.
This website
surrcolabs.com is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We useCloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint you and doesn't track you across sites. We only see aggregate numbers such as page views and referring sites. This site doesn't set any cookies of its own. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we collect your email address (and the sign-up date and your confirmation) to send you news about our games and stories. That's the only use. The list is managed by our email provider, Kit, which may process it on servers outside Israel. Like most newsletter services, it may record whether emails are opened or links are clicked. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your address completely. We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. We rely on your consent to process it.
Children
Our games are made for all ages, and Gravity Launcher collects no personal information from anyone, children included. The newsletter is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Israel's Privacy Protection Law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. The only personal information we may hold is a newsletter email address and any messages you send us. Email hello@surrcolabs.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security and retention
Game data stays on your device. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you. Transaction records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Changes to this policy
If our games start handling data differently (for example, a new feature or platform), we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change ships. Significant changes will also be announced to newsletter subscribers.
